2 weeks ago I renewed my license!
It finally arrived in the mail yesterday! This summer’s the first time I’ve had time, so I got my shiz together and finally did my road test. I’m not a fan of the picture, but what can I say? I had to wake up super early and did my test on the hottest day of the year. It’s still an improvement from my previous license…
Two days later, I got my CPR/AED - HCP level license for school.
Now, I’ve hit the one month mark before I move out and start a new, much anticipated chapter in my life! I’m so excited but grateful that I have a whole month to just kick back and enjoy having zero responsibility, work or stress =)

The album Back to Black was on repeat in my stereo during the last year of high school. I heard about her addiction, her poor live performances and her frequent concert flops but once the combination of the piano and her deep, strong voice permeates through the speakers, everything vanishes and what is left is a miserable, honest soul asking for retribution and love. Amidst all her disappointments, Amy Winehouse is considered a musical phenomenon because her talent snuck into people’s lives, including a quiet 17 year old girl, whether they wanted it or not. And it is through her songs- organic in sound and words not minced, that we become honest with ourselves and how we feel. She shared her soul with the world, and that gift cannot be denied. Rest in Peace.
